Lapidary is the craft of collecting, cutting, and polishing of precious, semi-precious and other eye-catching stones to be displayed or set in jewellery. The Cairns Mineral and Lapidary Club are exhibiting their collection and works including minerals, fossils, and cabochons. Demonstrations featuring gem cutting and silver smithing will also be available – please check back here and via the Cairns Botanic Gardens.
